Tofu for Dinner

Tonight we crossed off, "Eat Tofu" from our bucket list. Jeff had eaten tofu before, however I had never. And I must admit, I probably won't be eating it that often. We cooked ours with soy sauce but even with generous amounts, it didn't taste like much of anything. My friend Lauren was over while I was cooking it and shared that it might have tasted better if we cooked it so it was more crispy. I agreed. So maybe (a big maybe) I'll try cooking it again.

I really love Nasoya's wonton wraps, so figured I would try their tofu as well!

Neither of us were quite sure of this...(sorry I look like a drowned rat).

Along with the tofu we had green beans with toasted almonds and some brown rice!

Tofu is taste MUCH better when it's drained and light fried. It's my go to meal for quick weeknight dinners. Once the tofu is cooked, I sautee it with a little Trader Joe's Stir fry sauce and serve it on a bed of vegetables. Yummy!

I have the recipe on my blog if you're interested.

I do hope you try it again though.

I am going to try it again, I think I'll just drain the water more and dry it better so it gets crispier! Thanks for the encouragement :)

Hi there! I am a friend of Lauren's and I love to cook with tofu. I use this bbq tofu recipe all the time... The bbq sauce makes it a little less healthy, but also absolutely delicious. Try it out. I highly recommend it!
