Caramel Frappe
Cait didn't really feel like blogging today, so I (Jeff) offered to take over for the day and write my very first blog post! Writing was never really my strong point in school and considering I have the writing skills of an 8th grader you will just have to bare with me. I chose to make a caramel frappe, something that I mastered making this past summer. It is usually only a summer drink for me, but I only know how to make about 4 things that is blog material and this one was the best! I was inspired to make this drink after the $3 caramel frappe at McDonland's became too pricey and I realized that making it myself was both cheaper and more convenient (especially after acquiring our new magic bullet)! Here is the finished product:
- 1/2 cup coffee (chilled)
- 2 cups of ice
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 3 tablespoons of caramel syrup
I bought the muffins in the background at the store. I clearly don't have the baking skills to make chocolate chip muffins of that quality! Sorry I did not take pictures of the step by step process, I just figured it was unnecessary. However, after making the frappe, Cait insisted that I needed more pictures so she made me put on this ridiculous apron and pose for one last picture. As you can see, I would do almost anything for this woman.
I was forced to wear the apron, but the gloves are standard when I do the dishes. That's about it for my first post, maybe I will be back again when Cait needs another break!

Great first post! And I'll take one of those drinks in the morning, if you deliver - it looks perfect!
Hope you guys are having a good weekend!

i have a feeling that apron/glove pic will come back to haunt you sometime in the next 1-80 years.

Cute apron. I am definitely making these tomorrow morning. They sound delicious!!!
LOL Seriously - can you guys come to Ohio for a visit?! We could get frappes and burritos, take your Ollie for a walk and let my kids jump around with him!

Frappe was famous to its very presentable look. Attracting and look delicious. We cant deny that the looks and the outside features of a food is very important.
I'm getting a caramel frappe' right now. I usually get the mocha one. I love both mocha and caramel. By the way, the drinks are only $2.69 where I live but that's still pretty close to 3 dollars.
This frappè looks delicious!
Reading this, makes me a little unsure that it taste like a frappe. I could go on here and say blend together ice salt and sugar and call it a frappe in the Internet. Then reading the comments. They just mention how it looks good instead if truly tasting good. That's what I'm curious on because I want it to not only good but taste good ad well.
I made it and Im about to be in 9th I think I mastered this :)
@Anonymous I just made this right now for my sister and I, and it does, indeed, taste very much like a frappe. You should give it a go! I thought it was delicious. Mine wasn't of a very thick consistency, probably because I didn't use a bullet!
