Our Wedding Day Recap (cont.)

If you missed the first half of our wedding pictures, check out the post Our Wedding Recap

Welcome to our reception. As you can see...Jeff and I are all about fun. Who needs romance on a wedding day anyway? ;) Instead of doing a boring slow dance (sorry to all of you slow dancers out there) we decided to choreograph a dance to "Crank dat Yank" and "Baby Got Back." We started out slow dancing to "You and I" by Ingrid Michaelson then had our DJ, Eric Bender, scratch the song and then play our fast songs. This is us...cranking our yank...

We danced with our parents at the same time to the song "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.

Instead of cake, we decided on cupcakes! Our dear friend, Kendal Smiley, made 180 very beautiful and very tasty cupcakes for us. She also made a small cake for us to cut and save. I originally told Jeff that I didn't want to smash cake...however he had another idea. I should have known, right? He got me good. So I got him back...

Ok Ok...I'm almost done. I wish I could share every single picture with you...but I also know that they aren't as exciting to you as they are to me. Jeff and I drove to JFK airport the night of our wedding and had 3 long hours to debrief our day. We concluded: we would not have changed a thing. Because of our very generous parents, we were able to have a perfect day that we will remember for the rest of our lives!

And Mr. and Mrs. Jensen lived happily ever after...

Our Wedding Day Recap

On May 29, 2010 we tied the knot in Lancaster PA! We both couldn't be happier with how the day turned out. So many of our friends and family came to support us! Our ceremony was at St. John's Lutheran Church and our reception was at the beautiful Hamilton Ballroom. Hopefully you will get a glimpse of our personalities through some of our wedding pictures:

Jeff and I decided to see each other before the ceremony. Although we were hesitant at first, we highly recommend it to all couples! Not only was it intimate, but it made the day run so much smoother giving us more time for pictures. We met at Steinman Park in Downtown Lancaster.

Our photographers were Tony & Amy Hoffer. Not only are they absolutely talented photographers, but also very fun to work with. We could not have had such a perfect day without them. If you want to see some of their work, visit their website here:

These are our programs...which weren't actually programs at all :) Instead of telling guests everything that they could expect in the ceremony, we wanted to be more creative. So, because our church did not have any air, we made these fans with pictures and names of our bridal party. The back had the lyrics to the worship songs. We love how they turned out!

This may be my favorite picture of the day. This is my beautiful grandmother, Anna Kruse. She is being escorted to her seat by one of Jeff's groomsman, Adam Eng. She is stunning.

Our first communion together. Our friend, Colin Davis, sang the song "Remembrance" by Matt Redman. After communion we all sang "How Great is Our God" together.

YAY! We're FINALLY officially married. Jeff and I were engaged for almost 12 months, which if you are/have been engaged...know that is entirely too long. This was one of the best feelings in the world. Not only can we both wear our rings that have been sitting in a desk for 6 months, but we can start a life together!

Finally, take a glimpse at the people that made this wedding possible! Our families. The first picture is of Jeff's parents and siblings. Sister Kristina and husband Bob Seeley are on the left, then Glenn and Cheryl Jensen, his brother Brian Jensen, and finally sister Kelly and husband Brian McCabe on the right. (And of course we can't forget our future niece in Kelly's very cute belly)! The second picture is of Cait's family. Mammy and Manny (grandparents) are on the left. Mammy made all of the flowers for Cait's dress. Isn't she amazing? Sister Lauren and husband Jeff Bryant are next. Then Bob and Cindy Kruse, and finally Anna Kruse. We are so thankful for such amazing families!

Oh yea...if you didn't already see the huge picture at the top of the page, we rode a tandem around town! The pictures came out awesome, which we are so happy about because it took serious determination to make them happen! Although it looks like we were having so much fun, I was probably screaming two seconds after ;) Let me know the next time you try riding a bike in a wedding dress...

Finally, here are some pictures of our FANTASTIC bridal party. Jeff and I each chose 8 people that played significant roles in our lives to stand with us on our wedding day. Brian Jensen (Jeff's brother) was the best man. Aftan Hunt was the maid of honor (Cait's basically second sister). And Lauren Bryant (Cait's sister) was the matron of honor. They helped with pre-wedding plans and even stood in the blazing sun to take all of these pictures. We are so thankful for them.
