In 3 weeks I will be starting my full-time nannying job. I will be spending my days taking trips to the beach, library, walking park, and of course...ice-cream shops with a perfect 2 year old boy named Sean. I cannot wait to get to know this family even more over the next few years. So, I figured I should start a reading list of books I will read while Sean naps for 3 hours every afternoon :) (what a hard job I have, right?...I can't complain). First on the list-which I may have to start and finish this week...
Mennonite in a Little Black Dress
Second on the list is a book that Carly just bought while she was visiting Port Jefferson. We had a great Saturday, spending our time walking around downtown into bookstores, eating breakfast at the infamous "Toast," and traveling to Ikea to spend money we don't have on unnecessary decorative household items :) I'll let her tell me if it is worth reading or not...but for now, it remains on my list...
Jeff's very generous parents rented a gorgeous house for the entire family the weekend of the 4th of July. Not only did we celebrate the 4th but also Cheryl, Bob, and Bobby's birthdays! The house was in beautiful Montauk, Long Island. Everyone had a great time going to the beach, playing lots of cor hole, bbqing at night, watching fireworks, and making s'mores on the beach. Hopefully we will find ourselves back there sometime soon!
The boys found themselves playing cornhole every spare minute. Jeff and Glenn proved to be the best :)
Don't I have the cutest nephew and niece in the whole world? And one more on the way in only 2 short weeks!
Emma is 2. Therefore, she has her good moments and her not so good moments. Her cuteness makes up for the not so happy Emma. Here is an example caught in action...
Bob and Brian are GREAT cooks-grillers specifically. On Monday we celebrated Cheryl's 60th birthday with a huge BBQ. Jeff's aunt, uncle, cousins and the McCabe family also joined us! YUMMMM....
One rather large wiener.
Some pretty good looking guys. This is Jeff, Morgan, Brian, and Bobby.
Kelly and I waiting for dinner. She is 8 months pregnant...doesn't she look amazing? I hope I look this good one babies come along for Jeffrey and I one day! Must be all of that pregnancy yoga ;)
One month and a few days as a married couple! And loving every minute of newlywed life.
Jeff and Brian attempted to juggle together with the cornhole bags. It didn't work out so well, but made for a fun picture!
Jeff and I watched the fireworks on the beach on the 4th. (Note: we ran to the beach to watch the fireworks...forgetting we also had to run back. Not only did we accidentally run about 5 miles, but the run back was in pitch black. Not fun. Good thing there was a hot tub waiting for us at home). I told Jeff that more than anything, I wanted to have a fire the next night with the entire family. I knew it might not happen...with 2 kids and having to bring fire wood and walk at least a mile...but we made it happen! I was one happy girl :) This is Bobby making his first s'more. A memory he will always remember!
