Birthday Celebration & a DIY Edible Arrangement
As most of you know from yesterday's giveaway announcement, I celebrated my 23rd birthday yesterday! Although I was extremely excited to celebrate my day of birth with my little family (Jeff and Ollie) for the first time, it was hard being away from my sister. You see, my sister and I have birthdays only one day apart. Her birthday is today, Ma 3rd :) Ever since we were little we have been together to celebrate. Thankfully, I have a great husband who knows exactly how to put a smile on my face. How did he do it? Well to begin, I walked in the door from work to this amazing dessert, made by HIM:
He admitted to skipping class to stay home and make this for me! I was very impressed. There are even 2 kinds of pineapple "flowers" in there. It took him a while, but it was greatly appreciated. Whenever I see commercials for these, I comment about wanting one. Who needs to spend over $50.00 an Edible Arrangement when you have a husband that can make the same thing for you? ;)
After surprising me with this gift, we took Ollie for a short walk then headed downtown to have dinner at The Steam Room, our favorite seafood restaurant. On Mondays they have buy 1 get 1 free crab legs, so we took full advantage.
We also ordered a side of french fries and calamari (not impressed with it, though).
Jeff always takes his time with his crabby legs. I, on the other hand, always finish way before him leaving lots of meat inside still. I guess I just don't have the patience to pick out every piece of meat!
Before we knew it, our plates looked like this...
I left with a battle wound. Those crabs will get you, dead or alive.
We came home and opened some presents before having our friends Lauren & Fritz over to enjoy the edible arrangement Jeff made while playing some card games!
I loved all of my gifts, but can you guess which one was my favorite?
A Garmin Forerunner 305! I have been wanting this watch for a long time and I am confident it will help Jeff and I in our marathon training since it can track our mileage and pace per mile. Jeff and his siblings all chipped in to buy this for me and I am so thankful! Thank you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday, I had a great day.
Ps. Don't forget to enter the Stella & Dot Jewelry giveaway before Thursday to win an adorable pair of earrings! It's not too late...

YAY! You finally got your Garmin ;) I remember you saying you had been wanting that for a while, Happy Birthday!!!

Using acetyl l carnitine has made a world of difference for my complexion, which has always been dull and lifeless. A better blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients can reach the skin's cells, which in turn means healthier skin. My skin tone is now more even and my complexion is brighter thanks to this. If you want to reinvigorate your skin in a natural way, I strongly suggest including it into your skincare regimen!
