Picnic on the Beach

Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday and today. Jeff and I had a busy weekend! We had two photography shoots for our new business which is very exciting. Check out our website here. Since we were busy working the last two days we spent today relaxing. We started out our morning at church and on the way home stopped at a few farm stands :) I love the eastern part of Long Island. Once home, we knew Ollie would want to run around so we took him to a big open field down the road from us to get his crazy puppy energy out.

Ollie is getting faster everyday! We love running with him. Maybe one day, when he doesn't get distracted by every little thing on the road, he can come on a short run with Jeff and I. For now, we stick to big open fields with little distractions.

Oh the life of a pup...

After realizing that we hadn't gone on a date in a while, we decided to have a little picnic on a nearby beach. We keep things cheap and simple, but lots of fun :)

We decided to go around 7:00 and were hoping to see the sunset, but didn't last that long due to tons of annoying bugs :/

For dinner, we had sandwiches, veggies & hummus, sun chips, granola bars and a little piece of chocolate for dessert!

After an hour, I was sick and tired of the buggies bothering me...

We had to say goodbye to this beautiful site, but I'm sure we will be back again sometime this summer!

Home now relaxing with our pup, editing pictures of our shoots this weekend and watching Real Housewives of Orange County (Jeff's choice-jk ;) Be back tomorrow night with a fun grilling recipe!

For some reason I can't see you website from the link :( I've been out of the loop, but now am back checking on all my favorite blogs! Your date night is adorable. We are trying to do the same thing...every weekend we do a $20 planned-date and we flip-flop who gets to plan. It's fun to be creative and spend quality time together :)

sometimes i wish i could be a pup. because we spoil ours pretty rotten. but sometimes i remember he's at home alone for a few hours a day while we work, and that would be pretty awful.

anyway, you're date night looks super fun. wish we lived closer to the beach.

I agree with wishing I could be a pup...for one day :) We always talk about how much love we give him and how ridiculous it is sometimes! I think living close to the beach is one of the only things I love about Long Island ;)
