Watermelon Lemonade
Since this week officially feels like summer, Jeff and I decided to make a "summery" drink! Jeff loves watermelon more than any other food. One summer during our family vacation he even ate so much watermelon that he threw up. See for yourself (I had to search around on FB to find these old pictures)...
I still have to remind Jeff to slow down when inhaling watermelon, but he is doing better! We saw a bunch of watermelon lemonade recipes on a foodgawker so decided to give it a try ourselves.
Ingredients:
-Chop up the watermelon and add along with the ice to the lemonade.
-Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving!
- 6 cups water
- Juice of 3 lemons
- 2 cups diced watermelon
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 cups ice
-Chop up the watermelon and add along with the ice to the lemonade.
-Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving!
Not only is this drink refreshing, but also very pretty! I love it. It adds a bit of a twist to plain lemonade. Another great recipe to make and impress guests or bring to a picnic/BBQ.

Yummy! I found your site from foodgawker and I must say you have lovely recipes and you're gorgeous! You remind me of emma watson :)
That looks sooo good! Mmm.
this sounds delicious! what if you diced up the melon and froze it and added just that to the chilled lemonade instead of the ice? i have a friend who does that with tiny bits of diced melon to add to smoothies in place of some of the ice- apparently it's delicious!
Ooh, sounds good!! I'll make this when watermelon is available (or I have one in my house) and when the weather gets warmer! The highest the temperature has been is about 55 F!!
I wish it was 55 degrees here yesterday! It was in the 90s...too hot for me.
Oh, nice! Looks refreshing and perfect on a humid midwest summer day!
beautiful looking drink! i'll be sure to try it this summer! thanks for sharing
Looks like a great alternative to traditional strawberry lemonade.
The watermelon lemonade was so easy and so refreshing!!! We all loved it ~ Thanks!
